I’m back bitches! 21 December 2009 at 11:56 pm by Justin Robbins

Alright so I know I said I wouldn’t be gone long… and, I kinda was. Honestly kinda has no place in that sentence I was gone a good little minute. It was like the longer I was gone, the harder it was to come back. I didn’t just want to come back and start blogging like nothing had ever taken place. Then I decided I’d do something spectacular for my return. First I wanted to make an awesome video, (I’ll give you more news on that in a moment) then I decided to redo my layout. The problem with that is I rather like this layout, and I didn’t really get a chance to fully play with it. I’ve learned A LOT more about word-press by designing my friend’s website. So now that I have the understanding I think I’ll play with this one a little while longer before making a new one of my own. Anyhow, I digress. It finally dawned on me that if I don’t start blogging again, I probably never would, I’d just keep making excuses. But I’m back, and I’m here now! Also, I apologize to my affiliates for being so inactive.

So, in the video news. I’ve decided to launch my own YouTube channel! I’ve been sitting on my hands for too long and frankly I miss making videos for an actual audience. The channel will be creating various skits, parodies, and sketches. I have a cast already lined up, and we are currently in the pre-production process. (Writing scripts, securing locations, story-boarding, etc.) I’ll post the link once I create the channel.

I’m in the process of creating an actual layout for my little online portfolio. Justin Robbins.net. Lookout for that if you’re interested. If not, don’t. Heh.

I’m starting college Jan 6th!! I’m really excited. I’ll be taking 4 classes. English (of course), some required computer literacy class, General Psychology, and Film as Literature. I really think I’m going to regret picking 3 writing classes. I’m going to be writing essays out the ass. -quiver-

God, it feels great to be back! I’m going to go return comments the the blog I posted months ago now. Haha.

PS: If you’re not following me on twitter, you totally should! tripmyego

+ New Website – New Haircut By Justin Robbins 01 July 2009 at 3:11 am and have 23 Comments

Welcome to the new twistmyfate.com! Largely in thanks to George from Burnstyle.net for working out this awesome theme for me! I love it. I’m going to add the about me in a few days. I’ve already added a Videos page for the video blogs and maybe more. I’ll be adding more pages and content in the days to come!

In other news (about me) I’ve cut my hair! Well, technically Gaby cut the hair. I just sat in the chair while she did it. I wanted to do something emo and awesome. I managed to get both. It’s very short on the sides and back, with one long strip angled down over one side of my face.

We originally planned to do this as a Video Blog. But seeing as this was the first time that Gaby had cut anybody’s hair who was not made of plastic. That’s right, she happens to be the personal stylist of Joan Rivers… and a few dozen mannequins. Anyhow, I thought the video camera might be somewhat of a distraction. So, we just took lots of stills! I’ll walk you through it!

We started with some tools.

Followed by getting my hair nice and wet.

Then Gaby started hacking away at my hair.

Which in turn left a gigantic pile of unneeded hair on the floor.

Then we were finished!
